Do I have to remove the front bumper cover for an SMIC install?

Hey all,

I am hoping to receive my Dejon Tool Super SMIC tonight and do the install. What I was wondering is whether or not it's a MUST to remove the front bumper cover/fascia. It seems like if I put the car up on jackstands and remove the passenger tire that I'd have enough room to work, both in the wheel well and under the car itself.

Opinions from anyone who's done an SMIC upgrade on a 2G?

You don't have to remove the bumper. Like you said, there is plenty of room once you remove the tire and the plastic guard. Other than that, just unbolt the sucker, remove the piping, and put the new one in.
