I've read a few threads on this, but can't find exactly what I'm looking for. There is no ABS light that comes on when I start the car, but I have a 60 amp fuse in the fuse box for ABS. There is a smaller 10 amp (I think) fuse that is not there and has no connections to support a fuse, though. I found a unit that matches the picture in my Chiltons manual for the ABS Hydraulic Unit, though. Does the presence of a ABS Hydraulic Unit mean my car came with ABS?

Take a picture of your engine compartment from both sides. If you have a "thing" with a bunch of brake lines running into it, then likely you have ABS.

Or, you can take your VIN and contact your local Mitsu dealer and he can tell you.

Good Luck

I imagine this technique would be pretty difinitive, if you look into your front wheel well there will only be a brake line for non-abs, cars with abs will have a second line (electrical cable) for the abs wheel speed sensor.
