Do i have a 6 bolt or 7 bolt?

Ive been searching around about how to tell if i have a 6 or a 7 bolt. I read that if you had a adjustable cas and if i have ECI MULTI on my intake its a 6 bolt, then i read that 1g talons in 93 have 7 bolts, i know that the 7 bolts have a plain intake and non adjustable cas. So do i have a 6bolt i have ECI MULTI on my intake and an adjustable cas. Please help thank you.
 
Ive seen most of those post, I was trying to get someone to set it straight. I have the 14b not the little turbo that the 7 bolts normally have, so thats why im confused, i dont want to have to pull my motor to count the holes for the flywheel. So i just going to say i have the 6 bolt then. When i got the car the guy didnt say i had a swap, and a guy at one of my performance shops said 93s had a 7 bolt. Also is there a difference in the rod bearing between the 6 bolt or 7 bolts?
 
You can also tell by the shape of the oil pan whether its a 6 bolt or 7 bolt. In 92.5 diamond star went from 6 bolt to 7 bolt engines, i believe in august but don't get me lying. There is also no difference in the rod bearing sizes, but there is a difference of 1mm in the wrist pin sizes.
 
Sounds to me that you have a 6 bolt

You can also tell by the shape of the oil pan whether its a 6 bolt or 7 bolt. In 92.5 diamond star went from 6 bolt to 7 bolt engines, i believe in august but don't get me lying. There is also no difference in the rod bearing sizes, but there is a difference of 1mm in the wrist pin sizes.

Ok. My friend has the same car and motor as me and he put 7 bolt bearing in. Didnt know if the bearing are different.
 
The only thing your pictures are showing is that you have a 1g head.

The easiest way to tell if you have a 6 or 7 bolt is to look at where the front case meets the oil pan. If this area is completely flat, you have a 6 bolt. If there's a dip in the flange under the crank pulley, then you have a 7 bolt.

Is in the little flat spot you can't miss it once you get to looking there. You might have to clean that area up a bit depending on how dirty your bay is to be able to read it well.

Decoding the VIN doesn't automatically tell you an engine is a 6-bolt or 7-bolt if it indicates a 1992 model. You would need to do something with that VIN, enter it in CAPS/ASA, call a dealership, find a source online that you can use, to check something like the number of flywheel bolts that would tell you what engine it is.

Yes, it takes less than one minute to look at the oil pan and figure out what you have. There it not a more simple way to tell.

1G 7 bolts engines also came with with 14b turbos.

But this entire topic is blown out of proportion! 92 is a split year, but... the switch happed in the VERY end of production when they ran out 6 bolts engines (last few weeks), so it effected very few cars. If I had to guess, I would say that about 1% of 92 cars had 7 bolts engines... If you got it, you won a sucky lottery :)
