do front and rear sturt bars really work? do the 50 dollar ones on ebay work as well as the 150 dollar ones with greddy or injen stamped on them? im trying to get my car to handle a little better and want to know if they are really worth the money.

Yes they work, helps the body to stay more rigid through turns. As for which one is better. i bought mine off ebay for like 50 bucks and they work just fine. Im sure some of the bigger companies do more R&D, but a strut bar is a strut bar, they all do the same thing, id say go for the Ebay ones, anything major though i would buy from a reliable company

Most 2G rear strut bars are junk.

RRE's is not, nor is it expensive.

I also bought mine on Ebay at EBstores. They have some cool looking ones that fit and work great for about $50-$60 shipped. Thats front and rear, not each. Not an ad for them but I had great luck, got the parts in like 2 days. I could attatch pics if you wanna see 'em.

how much difference did you guys notice in your car? does your car handle noticely better?

My first bar was a generic brand, if I want to be honest : no difference at all, just look the way it's done you'll see it's more decoration then performance stuff, they bent easily at any pressure. With respect of what others have said : I always said : if you feel a difference it's power of mind over reality. If you do something, do it right once : RRE front strut bar bolted in the firewall (160$) and RRE rear strut bar (99$). Some place have good rear bar too : Buschur, Extreme..., but the only one good I've found for the front (I'm a 1G guy) is RRE. RRE is a serious place at handling, they know there stuff <-polite word.

i know RRE makes great suspenion parts, but im not really trying to spend 250 bucks on strut bars. i dont autocross or "need" a great handling car, i just want something where my car handles a little better since it have 17s and is lowered.

You most likely won't notice a difference. Save your money for other things first. Also, the RRE bars are not expensive... They're better AND cheaper than others.

I know right now DSMparts has a combo for front and rear strut bars for $70 I think, not sure if they're for both the 1G and 2G guy but just wanted to give you the heads up :thumb:

i have the 48$ for both front and rear on my 2g. Installed em yesterday and loving the difference. Get em, get a cheap set, a bar...is a bar. :)

sweet, glad to hear good things aobut their strut bars. I'll buy a set tonight then :thumb:

I've found that the front bar is more for looks only, I didn't notice much difference in handling whatsoever. However the rear bar made a large difference on my 1g...

You mean the brackets bend, right? Because the bar itself is under tension, making bending a non-issue.
