do axles interchange

anyone know if the drivers side front axle is interchangable between a :91 tsi 5speed awd
and a 93 laser 5speed fwd.

I do not think they are interchangable, the AWD is a 2 piece while the FWD is a one piece axle, the AWD has a carrier bearing that bolts to the block.

yes they are. I dont see why you would do it on a car you are planning on driving hard?

If its just for daily driving I don't forsee a problem. If you plan on racing the car, I would not interchange them.
