Non dsm...sort of. I'm doing a clutch change on a 2004 hyundai sante fe and it uses an engine very similar to 2.0 evo. So much so it looks like I can use a dsm fwd 7 bolt flywheel to convert to a single mass flywheel. I'm looking for parts interchange numbers if anybody has any. I may have a flywheel laying around which may save me some money. I've been unable to find anything.
Parts spec for the car list a 225mm clutch with 110 teeth. I know people are using this motor in evos. seems like a very likely swap. Thoughts?

Sounds like one of the 2.4 g4js engines? If so these are essentially the same as the Evo motor, save the balance shaft location and a few other small details. I know the heads are used by Evo and other people, not sure how many have used the blocks as Evo replacements, iirc I believe I read one thread on evom where one was used.

Either way, they do use the same 7 bolt pattern on the crank, so should be able to use a 7 bolt FWD turbo FW as that has the correct tooth count, and also compares directly to the solid flywheel conversion kits I'm finding online for the Santa Fe's.

Long as you get the correct pull-type clutch kit you should be good to go. For reference, the whole solid-flywheel conversion kit is about $450 for the clutch, PP, FW and TOB.

As far I can find, the transmissions are same mfg. and style as the 3g/4g eclipse stuff, but idk if that means that it will be compatible with 1g/2g stuff, since internally they will be quite different by not needing the 3rd shaft as ours do.
Having trouble finding an FSM for the Hyundai/Kia stuff to verify though.

I'm not 100% sure what flywheel is in it presently. Oddly enough this particular car was owned by a friend of mine about 8 years ago before we were friends. He had changed the clutch also. He thinks its single mass. Small world
