So while I was waiting for all you DSM gurus to chime in on my other post, I thought I'd give this kit a try.

Sure, doing this while trying to figure out all the other problems with my car is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, but I think you might give it a try.

So spending a little over an hour and a bit of elbow grease, I'm rewarded with headlights that look great. Probably in better shape than when I picked it up in 2000.

In conclusion, I whole-heartedly recommend this product for all the folks out there with yellowed, worn out headlights.

You are going to have to repolish them every 2-3 months to keep them from hazing again.

2 different things you can do to help keep them clear once you clean them up. You can wax them or you can use the headlamp film to help keep the air from them. The film has the extra bonus of protecting the lamps from rock chips and damage.

I'm right there with you. I was thinking a light coat of wax would help seal the plastic.

i actually used a old turtle scratch remover/polisher. it's in a circular plastic container, its basically a grittier clay like wax. i put it on the headlights like wax, let it dry, then used real wax over the top and got almost perfect results. it took maybe a half hour for both headlights

Looks pretty good! What I did with my old Venge was use 800, 1000 and 1500 grit sandpaper and wet-sanded the headlights. Then I used 3M headlight polish and a buffer for the final touches. Looked brand new!
