Hey guy's,
I'm building my own this weekend and wanted to see some other peoples sucessfull build's on 1G's. Post up your pic's or link's if you got em.
No PVC pipes please!
 
if you have access to a welder that can weld aluminum, then you are halfway there....search button would probably help with this one
 
Got it done this weekend! It turned out pretty well and the power difference is nice.

Well hey there buddy! The BOV is located on the top after the 90deg turn. You can see if if you look closely. It is just a stock 1G bov I welded to the pipe. That was my old side mount set up. Since then I have gone to a full front mount and actually re-used a lot of the side mount piping for cost savings. Here are pic's of the recent set up.

I did actually. I got a steel TB flange from RRE and a steel turbo outlet flange from RRE and just made my own. For the TB elbow it's a 2.5" pipe now going into the TB. Some peoplw just just a 1g n/a intake elbow (well it's straight so not an elbow) but I figured I could go even bigget and just do 2.5" all the way.
For the turbo outlet pipe I simply cut off the end of a GVR-4 turbo outlet and welded it to the new outlet flange for the turbo outlet elbow. The stock outlet pipe actually is tapered a bit, so if you cut it a bit above the stock flange that is already on there, you get almost a perfect match up to the RRE flange. DSM modification at it's best!

Also, the kink in the BOV return line was addressed as well, just appears in that pic before I fixed it.

You mean before any flange is bolted on? I'm not 100% sure really. I know that with the 2.5" plate and pipe, there did nopt seem to be any restriction on the stock manifold. (a lip of anything) I think the opening is right at or around the 2.5" range.
 
Is that the stock J pipe? If so where did you get the coupler for 2.5 down to stock j pipe size?

It is a modified stock GVR-4 J pipe. I simply cut off the stock j-pipe flange and welded the larger diameter RRE flange in it's place. The j-pipe goes from smaller diameter at the base to larger at the opening, so I just cut the pipe starting at the botom until I got to the desired diameter.
As for the coupler, Summit has them for a decent price. Here is an example, but you may need a different size depending on how you do your j-pipe.

I'll see what I can do. It's literally a U bend from the FMIC around to behind the radiator, then curving up to the turbo outlet pipe. It's hard to see in one of those pic's but I have the fan removed so you can see how the pipes travel. You will have to cut sections out for the pipe to pas through. You can leave the A/C line if you have th etime and energy to cut enough metal away for it and the pipe to fit. I said F-it and just eliminated the A/C. Let me see if I can get better pic's for ya.
