diy bearing

hey yo, i am about to replace my hub, and i was wondering what i have to disconnect along the way, and if there are any hints you guys could give me before i dig in. just windering what tools i will need and if there are any tricky spots i should be prepared for... and do i need a press to put the new bearing in?

just curious where did you locate just the bearing and how much did you pay? do you have a part number?!? Im in the same boat nobody sales awd parts around here

The 2g dsm's have a "bearing assembly" it's the whole bearing and housing which has flanges that bolt to the knuckle.


If rusted it can bea hard to replace.

You can use a puller to push the axle through the hub to get that out. And if the bearing housing is stuck to the knucke, use a hack saw to cut down the splitline/seam between the hub flanges and knuckle. Then us some drafts/wedges to pry the hub off of the knuckle. sometimes a sledge helps.
