Just pondering if there is anyway to "disable" fuel cut under deceleration as in no fuel cut on decel, just letting the remaining unburnt fuel exit out the back?

The reason I ask is cause back when i had an SRT-4, the exhaust just sounded so bad-ass with the loud rumble, popping, and gurggles when slowing down or letting off the accelerator.
I know this was due to SRT4s just have a cat, a resonator, and no muffler, that and no fuel cut on decel.
My SRT4 in the video does have a hks carbon Ti canister muffler.
So is there anyway to alter the fuel maps or some how letting a little more fuel in while letting off the accelerator?

This is definitely interesting. I also owned an SRT 4 and it is a very distinct exhaust note. There's got to be a way to keep the car from cutting fuel on decel, I wonder if ECM/DSM link can do it?

The ECU invokes a "cruise" fuel cut when it sees the idle switch go active while the engine is running above some speed (RPM). You can disable that function by disabling the idle switch operation while moving. There's a checkbox for that on the RPM tab in the TPS/Idle section.

I can't say if I recomend it or not, but I had an srt4 a couple years back and loved the way it sounded on decel. I noticed if I set my tps at like 2% at idle using a data logger while adjusting , it seems to disable the fuel cut sufficiently. Makes the car much more drivable in parking lots and gets that gurgly pop like the srt4 on decel. Since 2gs have no idle switch(uses tps instead) and ecu flash doesn't have the option or atleast I couldn't find it, fooling the ecu seems to be the only option. like i said, i haven't driven the car enough to get an idea of the effect on milage and all that, and doing it is completely up to you since I don't know the possible negative effects yet.....

Digging this up (sorry guys!)
Trying to figure out how to get rid of this in my Evo 7 ROM, running Tephra V5 (90550001). I've tried setting the decel fuel cut delay tables to 255 (up from the original 50..) made no difference at all. It drives me nuts, the car is so quick to cut fuel that it even does it between shifts!
Is there a way to get rid of this or what
