Digital boost gauge

So I'm borrowing my buddies Auto Gauge digital boost gauge, and I dont know where to run the wires that arn't the power and ground. There is a purple wite , and a white one. I had Auto Meter mechanical boost gauge, so I know how to hook those up.. But this is digital and I'm stuck.. I tried searching but got nowhere...PLEASE HELP ME...

Which series of Autometer gauge did he give you? Also, did you get the sender for the gauge (this is what tells the gauge what to output since it's an electric gauge)?

No It's an Auto gauge, not Auto Meter. I did happen to get the harness that plugs into the gauge. If it was mechanical I'd have it in by now. Yes there are power,ground, purple, and a white wire. Don't know where the purple or white are supposed to hook into to read boost. Unless one in input andf one is output, but i still need to know where to hoo into. Thanks you for the help!!!

There should be some sort of sending unit to go along with it..

Got nothing else. just what I already said. Wait where would the sending unit be located? Beacause when my gauges got stolen, I had my Auto meter guages installed on a piller. They just ripped what they could out including the trim that goes along with it. If the sending unit was located in the engine bay, then I could possibly have it. So what does the unit look like. Ill take a gander later, and see what I come up with...

I just put one in my car this past week. You're missing the sending unit, which is where one of the two wires go, and the other is a dimmer that dims the gauge a bit when the lights come on.

Nope, you need the sending unit. Its the part that tells the gauge what the boost is.

Ok...Soo what does this sending unit look like so when im looking for it in my roomates car I know what im looking for???

You need a MAP sensor to drive it. But a digital gauge for monitoring boost is worthless. You want to be able to see what a needle is doing in real time, not reeling numbers.
