Are there any?

I read on several personal sites that the JDM (for at least the first generation 4g64-T motors) motor pushed more ponies and such.

Any validity to that, or is the JDM sitting on my porch identicle to any other 4g63?

well i do not know for sure, so this isnt going to be any help. But for you information, it is USDM (United States Domestic Market). not ADM. sorry i couldnt help

No worries, I learned it ain't ADM at least. :thumb:

If anyone knows the answer to my original question, I'd be much obliged.

Some of the JDM motors came with 16G's and 510cc injectors. So yes, that right there would account for quite a difference in power.

How can I tell if my Turbo is a 14b or 16g? It says TDO5H on it, but I don't see any other markings.

Thanks a million.

You have to look at the inside of the compressor housing at the wheel. The 14b's blades are all the same height. The 16g's have stepped blades, alternating in height.

Also, another way to tell is by looking at the injectors - if they're blue, you probably have a 14b. I think the 510's are yellow.

It's pretty easy to tell the difference between a 14b and a 16g. This is a 16g. The 14b won't have the double looking fins, just single fins spaced evenly apart. Now, the it's harder to tell the difference between a small16g and a big16g. To do that you'll have to measure the diamater of the compressor exducer and then compare it to the chart here: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/Turbo-compare.html
