Ok..here's my deal. I bought an ACT 2600 for my GSX, took it to a franchised tranny place called Cottman Transmission (labor was cheaper, money was tight) to get it put in. I get the thing put in, and I start getting the "pump up" clutch pedal problem followed by the car not going into gear after like 20 minutes of driving as I'm leaving the shop to take the car home. I call them, take it back on Friday, and they tell me that they'll fix it by Monday evening. I call the shop Monday evening and get "Sorry, we were busy as hell, we'll get to it tommorow.". So I'm thinking that I dont want the car half-assed, so I'm like ok whatever. Tuesday evening comes, and they pull the same excuse. I let it slide again figuring they might be having a hard time fixing it. Finally they get it done last night, and the car is sitting in my driveway when I got home from work because my 'rents picked it up. I go to drive the thing, and the clutch pedal felt like butter; basically stock pedal pressure. When driving it, it feels like it's definately enguaging, and they fixed the pump-up/going into gear problem but a bunch of my buddies are theorizing that they mightve had such a hard time figuring out the problem that they mightve actually took OUT the 2600 and put something stock or damn close to stock in..Is there ANY way that an ACT 2600 would have an extremely light feel on the clutch pedal, or do I need to call a lawyer? All input appreciated. Thanks.

If you really want to know take it to another mechanic and open it up again . While doing this video tape the entire thing. After if the act Yellow clutch is in the great ,if not press charges and ,make them reinburse you for everything , because technically they stole from you , for their own benifit.

Now the owner of said shop will blaim it on the employees, saying it was their fault and not his. The only way around that would be to state that whatever happens under his roof is his liability.

A while back the same thing happend to my bud , he was scammed for about 1500 dollares for the labour and parts. The clutch supposedly an act 2600 was so spungy that it started slipping bad a week after the instal. We Took it to a performance shop ,and while they worked I video taped everything. When we realized the problem ,we jumped in my car and went to bi***, and I vedo taped that too.

It took about a week of harassing and actually pressing charges on all the employess that where their that day to be fully reimbersed.

Im sorry to hear that happend to you , but when doing things like this it's always good to sit by and watch them do the job. I dont care if I loose a days work ,at least I know my clutch and fly are not being swapped.
