ok i did a search. I finally got everything i installed to work good. I love the pullin boost. Anyways...i have an auto and when i slam on the gas it downshifts hard and then it boosts up to like 20 psi right away then it will drop to about 14 psi. and stay at 14. is this safe or what should i do to check this?

also, when people say they set their boost at "15", does that mean that it should never go over 15 psi?? thanks again for any help...

You should NOT be boostin gthat high on those little 390cc injectors. Your fuel system is about 85% as big as the manual one. IMHO you should not go over stock boost with your fuel system.

Boost spikes are caused by a slow responding wastegate. Try shortening the lines to your boost controller (although you know i don't think you need it till you get fuel :D).

your thinking 1st gen:) the 2gen turbo manual and auto are the same except for what i just stated, hehe. I think he has...450's?? I would say check the lines to the boost controler make sure you got them all runing from the places and stuff like that, shorten them if need be. If that dont work, invest in a better boost controler. O and yeah, 15 psi is pretty much all you need to be boosting on the stock IC, fuel systme and turbo cause thats there efficiency limit pretty much. The fuel system might be able to go for more but im not sure on that one.

really? ill take your word for it then since your the wiseman, but i really did think they were the same:( wopps.

hm, okay its 390 it seems. why do they make the autos suckier then the manuals? seems like alot of people wouldnt know the autos have smaller injectors on the 2gen cause ive seen some threads with people barking back and forth about how its just personal preference as to witch is better, but now it seems clear that the manual is better.

nah you change the injectors early on any modded car so that isn't a problem. My guess is you can't overrev the auto as easily... it is only a guess tho. Probably saved them 20 bucks a car x 100,000 cars...lets see yeah 2 million reasons why they used em.

thanks a lot guys. so if i leave it as is, am i gonna hurt anything?? probably huh?

on the second link: stock fuel system
YOUR STOCK MANUAL TRANNY FUEL SYSTEM HAD 450CC INJECTORS

AUTO HAD 390CC INJECTORS

BOTH CARS CAN BOOST 15PSI BEFORE STOCK FUEL SYSTEM LEANS OUT

any thoughts???

I'm pretty sure that all 2g turbo, auto or manual, had 450cc injectors. I know for sure that the 1g auto turbo had smaller. But I am willing to put money on the automatic 2g turbos had 450cc
