Sorry I know this is beat to death but a new crankwalk symptom just came to light to my knowledge.

A month back a blew my turbo and a balance shaft bearing all at once (lucky me). Since then ive been tryin to fix the problem one at a time as i discover them. Now im at the point where im ready to put the motor back together with a ton of new parts and i dont want to throw it all in the toilet cus of one tiny prob.... When i drove the car around after i put the new turbo in (just the turbo, no balance shaft delete or any other fixes) i notices my rpms dropped pretty fast to the point where my car died every 5th-ish time i push in the clutch.
Buddy said its because we didnt clean up all the old oil my blown turbo jizzed all up in the intercooler piping and it was sucking it in to the intake which cased all that. The block seemed fine to my observations but should i be worried/ take any precautions? I heard replacing the crank bearings can help but i just dont want this to bite me in the ass

I can post up any pics/ videos to give you guys some better ideas, i noticed a little play in the pistons, but after we cleaned them i found out they were Ross pistons and forged aluminum, so play is expected with those

What does "the RPMs drastically drop" mean, this term is so vague whenever someone uses it. I was of the opinion that this means the RPMs drop below idle and cause a near stall.

What I'm gathering is, every time between shifts he's catching dramatic RPM drops.(Sound's like a multitude of things eh?)

He stated about every 5th depression of the clutch, the car's dying.

That is what I thought dramatic RPM decrease would refer to, stalling because the RPMs dropped below the idle threshold, because when I clutch in on any car the RPMs drop by what I would define as rapid.

Correct, I've yet to ride in a car that holds rpm after clutch depression.

If a car did that, I'd get worried.

Ok, ok, so did you measure crank end play? I think .009 is the service limit there. And if the motor was out of the car how do you not know of the flywheel? Anyway with endplay aside, it might be your tob or maybe your clutch not adjusted corectly.

The endplay came out ok so no cw for me. and i was going to take a guess at TOB for my problem since it happened randomly. and the flywheel is stock btw.

ill take a video for u guys and put it up by tomorrow or tonight

now, what i do not understand, is that if you had a balance shaft go, have you pulled the engine apart to do a thorouh cleaning, including the turbo?????????????? pretty soon all that metal will eat the bearings or wipe out turbo

thanks bro-_-^^^
dsm stall when clutch pushed in - YouTube

it happens around 0:38 thats when i pushed the clutch in to coast. the rest is pretty normal

yea we cleaned out the engine and got both pieces of the bearing out. cleaned out the oil pan and flushed out everything. Ill probly be doing another oil change soon just to be safe
