Today, I hit a small bump, and after that, my car pulled to the right.

I looked, the pass. side wheel was really crooked, as if it had really bad negative camber, and it was turned to the right. I found that the axle had totally just popped right out from the transaxle.

I tried to pop it back in so I could drive the car to a safe location, out of traffic, and then I saw a little bit of tranny fluid on the ground. I also saw three little tiny rods in the small puddle.

When I drove the car to a safe location, it felt like it didn't want to go into gear, but it did. It's something I've experienced sometimes before this happened.

Reverse also grinded a little, even if I put it into 2nd and 1st before going into reverse. This also happened before this, just not as often.

So is it possible that my tranny is really messed up or what?

doesnt sound like its really messed up, but i'd get it checked out, better safe then sorry when it comes to tranny related problems

I found out what it was. I was grinding because I was low on fluid. The three metal things were part of the cv joint.
