i just bought a supposed walbro 255 lph fuel pump off a local guy but something is different. the little bag or whatever you want to call it that's attached to the pump is different. all the walbro's i've seen have a smaller bag. the one on mine is like twice the size. it's really long. did i get screwed?

I've never personally installed a fuel pump on a DSM, but I think you have to cut the connector from your fuel pump.

Go to the VFAQ and look at the 1g installation.

that link says it should be part number: GSS342. the number on my pump is: GSS340. ??????? can i still use it or did i get ripped off?

cool. that's for the help guys. now i just hope this hookup kit i'm being sent works.

I looked up my number on my fuel pump that i thought was the basic 255 i got today and its the 255lph (High) is that 2 big for a stock 2g with stage 1 upgrades aka cheap upgrades

I believe it means your stock FPR can no longer control the fuel pressure. (The pump is pumping too much fuel for it to control). So the Fuel Pressure will very. Ill effects on a untuned car might not be THAT bad. But if you plan on tuning it the base fuel pressure needs to be constant. Otherwise you cant tune it very well.
