toronto,
After I built my 6bolt this is what's starting to happen.
Note: I am using 10w30 fully synthetic Mobil1 and have been since first start up.

For some reason or another, I'm starting to leak oil from all the wierd places I have either torqued, or never even touched (the oil may however travel from different places). The wierdest part i'm leakin from would ###### be the valve cover bolts in the spark -plug area. After a highway drive there's a puddle of oil there, and I have to whipe it every time I shut the car off cause I don't want it eating through my wires. Anyone encounter this problem after switching to a synthetic oil? Also I removed my b-shafts so I have abit higher oil pressure than stock, but i mean, the oiljust seems to be actually fighting me on this one. I'm thinking of getting some copper washers for the vc bolts that are leaking and maybe applying RTV to the washers. Could this be because of poor VC ventilation? My PCV valve is new and not siezed, and the VC to Intake pipe hose isn't plugged either, what could it be?

Has anyone felt my pain, speak up if you have possible solutions, cause I'm tired of this bs. The engine runs mint and pulls like a beast, and I'm stuck there w/ this newbie problem that's drivin me nuts. All input appreciated.

P.S. My oil cap was leakin also, I changed that, so about 1/4th of my problem solved.

Is it a oem pcv valve? Lots of the aftermarket ones don't seal well enough to handle boost and then it leaks pressure into the crankcase.

that's what i was thinking, but wouldn't the tube from the VC to the Intake just vent that pressure out?

of couse ,but that means hot oily air will be rushing into your intake, who wants that? if you pcv valve is leaking your better off just plugging the hose to the pcv valve and only leaving the pcv unplugged.

that's weird, and yeah, the spark plug valley is leaking, but the gaskets are new and RTVed as well as torqued. I'm gonna try putting a vice-grim on the pvc tube and see if that helps any, if it doesn't, i'm gonna try the copper washer idea I have for the spark plug valley bolts.
