Hmmm... perhaps I can get my shit together by then too. I just bought my FP Big28, should have it on wed. Gonna install it next weekend (that's the plan anyway) That should help me out for a little while. I wanna see Kev run with the 16G.

I should get my prothane motor mounts and shifter bushings on Wed. I'm trying to get some help to do the install.

i'll help you, but I think we will need to press them in. So, we may have to take them somewhere to be pressed in. I dunno for sure.

I think Jeff has a press.

:thumb: Correct-a-mundo. You've got to press the old ones out, but the new ones (with some effort (and perhaps banging with a mallet) will "slide right in" I've got a press, but I don't know if I've got anything quite that large to press out the old ones with. I'll look though. The front and rear mounts are easy (no press) the tranny and driver's side will be a bit more difficult/time consuming. And you'll need to have a jack to hold up the engine/tranny. I did mine while the engine was out, so it was not TOO bad, still, getting the tranny-side one in could prove difficult.

I'm there man. Although, I've gotta get my FP Big 28 on too. Maybe this weekend. :D

By the way, Jason, what bushings did you get? The "under-hood" bushings, or the shifter base bushings (Symborski shift kit). If it's the under-hood ones, let me know, so whenever you decide to put them in I can bring my dremel. the fittings on the shift cable need to be ground just a little to get those in.

Sorry, by which bushings, I meant which shifter bushings(bearings/washers). So, you got the full prothane suspension bushing kit? Wow! Ok, well be prepared to take that car apart. That's a hell of a job, man. I do have all those fittings for the press though, just not the motor-mount ones. The trailing arm bushings on the rear spindles have to be burned out, as there's no way (at least for me) to get it on a press and get them out. All the others can be pressed.

That's the job that left my baby on stands for a month. Granted, I was working full time, going to school on weekends, househunting, and I cleaned/de-rusted/and repainted ALL of my suspension components at the same time (oh, and replaced all the boots) AND did all of my brake work. But still, It'll take a full day + to get just the parts off and get everything pressed out and new crap put back in. I am getting better at taking apart the front susp. though. After having to do it about 4 times now... :toobad:

where can i get the motor mounts pressed at? How much?

There's a place at 14th and Ave K that used to do all my stuff. But they're kinda expensive, and I don't really trust them... I still need to see if I've got anything I could use. Or talk to that guy you know that owns the shop. Maybe he know's somebody. If not, I could get my mechanic buddy to take it to his friend that did mine. I'll give you his card next time I see you.

Are you talking about A + motorbay? I know one of the paint guy there.

does anyone have there stock 16" or 17" wheels sitting around still? I was wondering if someone could loan me 2 of them if you do? If I run at the track with my 18" wheels I will probably end up frying my clutch before the day is up :beatentodeath:

Yeah, I've got the 16" swirls with rubber on them... I don't know how great of condition the tires are in, but... They're nitto's I believe. 225/55/ZR16s

When Do you need to use 'em?

same here but the tires are real bad. I couldn't keep traction in 1st and 2nd, just think what that would mean for you. you would just spin your tires form 1st to 4th. but they are yours it you want them.

anyone coming out to tonights meet? i will go after i get off work at 9:00+. I work right across the street at Shoe Pavilion. Come check it out if you want.

Call me if your going to be there.

I was going to use them for the "pinks" event, but I have just found out some unfortunate news. I had to go to the Hospital this morning, and found out I have an abcess infection in my jaw, because of the metal plates they used to put me back together a few months ago. I am going to have surgery hopefully as soon as possible (this is painful, my left side of my mouth is swollen the size of an orange) I don't know how long I will be out after the surgery, I am afraid I might have to go back to Cali to my family since I can't work again:notgood: , but i'll know more soon.

well, I had surgery yesterday, it went pretty well. Except they wired my jaw shut again, which really sucks. I am going to have to go up to my moms in Missouri so I can have someone feed me. doesn't look like I am going to get to go racing.
