So I was watching tv the other night and I saw a paid for commercial for this thing called the Dent King. So I figured what the hell I'll try it. I got it in today and I just tried it and it works awsome. It popped the dent right out I couldnt beleive it. Has anyone else tried this? The dents I had were minor surface dents, I dont have any real deep dent s to try it on so if anyone has let me know. I reccomend it to anyone.

A mini plunger from Home Depot works well too.
So how does the glue stick hard enough to pull the dent, but still comes off the paint? I've always wondered when I see that infomercial.

I was wondering that myself

hey i have a huge dent on my left fender like 3" around. i never heard about that thing where did u get it? how much? i was just going to get carbon fiber fenders but thats alot of $$ i don't have

As far as the glue they say its there own "special glue". You just clean the area with rubbing alcohol ( I used Isopropyl Alcohol) and put the glue on the tab, then put the tab on my dent, let it dry and use the bridge thing they give you. There was glue left on my car but it comes right off with the alcohol.

you mean the bulge?

this wont work on corner dents

i read on another car forum that the dent king sucks and the dent can rehappen easily, but they did mention about a place that uses heat and stuff to remove dents and its only like 30 bucks for the service

hey guys, I have a few dents in my quarter panels for other peoples doors and stuff like that...does anyone have experience using the dent pullers from TV or anything like that. If I have to I will bring it to a body shop but I was just wondering. Thanks

yeah thats what im thinking since the guy before me got the doors keyed and i need to get them repainted anyways so i could just have them pulled when they paint...but 14$ for a kit is awfuly appealing

I would honestly get it done by a professional. The $14 dent kit is just a gimmick. You can do your best to pull it out as much as you can but it will still be there unless properly fixed. If you were a lot closer, I would have popped them out for you!

I have used the dent king before on other cars than my eclipse. It actually works fairly well, and certainly will minimize the look of some dents to the point where you wouldn't notice it anymore if you weren't looking for it.

yeah i was looking for somewhat of a review...did u find it worked better on small or large dents betters, most of mine are quite small maybe about quarter but i have a bunch of them...

It depends on the stamp sizes that come with the puller. I would be surprised though if it was much use on anything smaller than 2 inches across...

I have used the ding king and it works ok, i used it on a badly hail damaged car so i took them out enough to just sand it down and most of it came out rather than useing lots of putty cote to fill all of them in, what didnt come out with sanding i puttied and then used urethane primer and sanded them out the rest of the way.:laser:

well maybe i could try it, its pretty cheap and it could save me some cash. Since all of my dents are pretty small it shouldnt have a problem...hopefully anyways. But the most i can loose is around 20$. Thanks alot guys :dsm:

You will get better at useing it when you start doing them more, especially if you have quite a bit of them.:laser:

The dent king type kits work okay if you use them often, even with a professional using them most the time the results aren't perfect. If your having the side repainted anyway the shop will have time invested in fixing up the keyed area, might as well have them take an extra 15 minutes and clean up the dings. Im not personally big on using body filler so if a car I'm painting has deep dings or hail damage I will spoon the spots out for the most part before filling the area. Just to add another note, I've fixed a few vehicles where the owner tried to use a home pulling system, I can tell you from experience that it costs more once the owner makes an oops and pulls the dent out too much, then instead of filling we get to push it back in and then fill it...... just a word to the wise..... anyway, should you choose to tackle it yourself, good luck.

I've seen a few videos like this Secret Paintless Dent Removal Technique - Easy And Cheap!

This one uses dry ice, but I've also seen a few that use cans of compressed air. When hold the can upside down and spray, the super cold liquid sqirts out and does the same thing.

Wonder if it work.
