Bought a set of Delphi 95lb 1000cc low impedance injectors off of a fellow forum member. Went to install them today and quickly found that they just don't fit properly. Specs here

After some searching, it appears that some sort of modification needs to be made, but I can't find what exactly. Here are the injectors side by side. Delphi on the left and stock on the right

Does anyone know what I need to do to get these guys to fit? Going into a 1g rail if it makes a difference.

Notice the difference in the diameters between the two injectors where they fit into the fuel rail. You need to cut the plastic below the o-ring down to fit the rail.

These have been. Can you see the difference?

It looks like on the bottom (in your pic) the metal lip has been ground down to some extent and the rubber ring is gone.

On the top, what o-rings are on there?

I read through the post you referenced before posting, but I didn't see any pictures showing exactly what I need to take care of.

Can I DIY everything to fit? Or will I need to order the FIC parts referenced?

Those aren't mine, just an example of the modified Rochester injectors for a DSM.

The bottom rubber ring that seals the injector in the intake manifold is called the injector insulator.
The rubber ring just above the electrical connector on the factory injector is called the injector sheet and is used to keep the fuel rail from sliding down too far on the injector and to apply the clamping pressure from the rail to the injector body. The injector floats compressed between the two rings.

The green o-ring is just a standard injector o-ring like on your factory injector but not chewed up.
Your to use a little gas or oil to install the injector in the rail and twist the injector while pushing so the o-ring isn't torn.

The bell at the injector mouth doesn't really matter if it's on or removed except to work with the injector insulator. Some companys remove them so they can use a better seal of the insulator.

Awesome, I think I got it all settled. Did a little grinding work today on the fuel rail side. Fits like a glove now. Will post some pics later...
