talkin about the street FMIC on this page, the first one http://www.dejontool.com/DSM-2g FIC.htm

has anyone used this or seen dyno numbers of what it can do? I want to upgrade from my SMIC and im not sure if i want to go through all the hassle of relocating coolant overflow, moving the PS lines, cutting the bumper, etc. with this FMIC it literally bolts right in using the stock piping locations. my goal is low 12s eventually and i know people have pulled 12s on a SMIC so im sure this should be enough. what do you guys think about this IC, its very affordable and no hassle to install so it looks good to me

I don't have any numbers to verify anything but i do have one on my car, Easy to install, haven't really had much of a chance to really test it as i have some other problems with the car. I'm only running a big 16g so i didn't really see the need to buy something that flows enuf for 600 horse or anything, plus all the other hassles of the install. should be plenty good for 12's though

yeah im running a fully ported big 16g right now too. i plan on getting a 50trim in the future but i think this FMIC could support it. so you havent been able to run at the track yet?

I wanted to know the same thing... about the 1g Street Frontmount (which appears to be the same thing) so I emailed dejontool and they had this to say...

"Owners have dynoed 550hp, Dave"

So it looks like a pretty decent intercooler. I plan on running a Supra Sidemount until I get into the 400 hp region ... then switching over to a front mount like this one.

Turboblown, I have a Supra sidemount if you're interested. Was using it on a s16g, but I"m going 60-1 now. The Supra SMIC is very much overlooked these days. I wouldn't mind trying it with the 60-1 just to see the difference on the street (probably better spool up than the big FMIC I'm going to, but don't want to do more work switching IC pipes back and forth

Sweet97 who posts here a lot had a dejon front mount on his 50 trim.I think he said it could only get to 14 psi or so on it and that was cooler weather. He upgraded to a spearco.

I would say its fine for evo big 16 and all that but too small for bigger but you could try water/alco injection with the dejon that might do it.

I decided to go bigger for my 50 trim.I am running around 14psi on my stock sidemount right now but temps are around the 40F mark.Zero knock though right now and haven't installed my water/alco injection either.

I ran the Dejon street FMIC. Tied it on a 50 trim, NO GO! I could only get 14 psi without knock. It fits without cutting the bumper and without removing the cover. Just cannot handle more than a 16G. If one was able to work on a car putting down 500+ HP it ran race fuel. I sold it for the usual loss and bought a Spearco that is only about 16% larger but has 57% more cooling cooling tubes. My boost jumped to 18-20 psi wthout adjusting the MBC which was set a 14 psi. I would not buy it for any turbo over a 16G. That's how it worked for me for about 2 months. Mark

i was thinking of getting one of these, but now im not so sure because of what you guys are saying...

im going to be running a green on this thing and it sounds like it wont be able to hack it. can someone give us some reviews?

Sweet97 only got like 14 or 15psi out his with his 50 trim RS49 same as a green.
I think with water/alcohol injection it would do quite a bit better but really it is too small for a green /50 trim.I was thining about it too but went to extreme turbo big one for
448 off ebay.It sounds more than capable but will have to hack up bumper and make up new piping.Oh well at least wont' be worried about good enough intercooler anymore.

The spearco is pretty much bolt on and might do the job again sure it would combined with a nice alco/water injection system. The spearco has big flow and the cooling could be better but the water/alco should take care of that especially if you go dual stage injecting before and after the intercooler.

Dejon street is only good for a big 16G. You want one the same reason I did, no cutting. You will not run a 50 trim on it. Mark

is there a spearco IC with all the pipes priced simliarly to the dejon tool setup?

edit...
i thought we were talking about the racing core! has anyone used the second intercooler on that page? the racing one? that would cost like $1100 with everything i need, and that would be perfect if it was a good IC for a 50 trim.

The racing dejon should handle ant turbo, it's big but requires a lot of cutting, from Dave himself.
The Spearco I have is closest to the dejon streetthat I tried, Model 2-221, sold by RRE, they have piping or a kit for a street FMIC but they use a cheaper Griffin core but they may sub a Spearco for more $$$$$$. They get $590. for the Spearco, no piping. It has a lotof coolig tubes, 34 rows compared to the griffin's 21 tubes. RRE lists the flow for both. Mark
