dejon uicp vs dave b uicp

I'm looking for an UICP now, and i've narrowed it down the the Dave Brode UICP and the Dejon UICP..

They seem to be about the same quality, and i mean, it's just an IC so it doesn't really have to be made out of super great material.

All in all, the dejon one is only 20 bucks more but it's already painted.

Just wanted to get some feedback or opinions on the two pipe, if anyone had any issues or if there was any problems after using it for a while, etc.

I've been using the dave brode pipe for quite a while and it works just fine. Got it shipped to me pretty quick with everything I needed to put it on including instructions. Don't know if that helps but there ya go.

Oh yea, I should mention that i'm looking for it for my 1g tsi awd, no abs. I forgot that I don't have it listed. heh.

It's a pipe for Christs sake so as long as it's bent and welded correctly, which both brands are, then it's going to work just fine. If you want to save $15 go with the Brode. I say $15 because you're going to want to buy some barbecue spray paint and at the very least hit the welding on the flange because that will rust.

Not if you got a stainless steel pipe like my buscher racing U/I pipe.

going with dejon ya got the option to get the entire pipe.

my first uicp was a dave broode special.. no complaints about it what so ever. he is just 1 guy trying to make a little $$. If ya dont want to replace the whole pipe, id go with his.

What do you mean dave? The dave B pipe is 105 for the UICP and then 50 bucks for his custom 2.5" t elbow... is there something else needed that the Dejon pipe has?

I'm just not aware, which is why i started this thread.

I bought the Dave Brode pipe for my 1G with ABS, and it was very good quality for the price. It worked fine, but then I switched to the Greddy Type S BOV and the it interefered with the ABS computer because of the shape of the UICP.

So I bought the Dejon Pipe because the bends are different and it gives more clearance for the BOV. It does cost more, but I like the powdercoated look also.

Of course, your car doesn't have ABS so my issue shouldn't affect your decision. If you're on a budget, the Brode pipe should be fine.

I agree.
If you want the option of a coating on the pipe and want to replace the whole UPPER IC pipe assembly then just go with dejontool. But I honestly have no problems/complaints with my dejontool pipes and if I wasn't wanting a specific color/finish on my pipes brode woulda gotten my order definately.

Dejon Tool pipes are nice. Then again' so are the Brodes.

They are the same thing prettymuch, get whatever is cheaper.

Even though dealing with DT is ALWAYS a pleasure

holy $hit... my pipe i bougt from him was like $53 bucks. and he didnt offer the 2nd pipe back then. im sorry.. it was a few years ago that i bought it. i guess my info sux, yer gunna have to follow one of the others advise.

what about the GM MAS? If I want to run it thru my ICP, what kinda DT pipeing will I want? I'm going for the MAS after the turbo In the UICP. that way I can vent and have a straight intake w/o tubes and hoses coming in/out of the intake pipe.
