Dejon 3'' exhaust?

im going to get this sometime this month, actually lets see if the parents will let me buy it rignt now... (not being allowed to spend the money you make at your job without your parents permission is SO ###)

just got the ok, but realised that there are gasket options on the bottom, does it come with all the gaskets?

also, i want a 3 inch down pipe, but the 2 3/4 to 3 inch pipe says that its made for the evo o2 housing, will I have problems with hooking it up to my stock 1g o2 housing, or other stock style o2 housings? hopefully they are talking about the size of the bore...

the evo dp has a different angle on the flange, because the evo o2 is angled a little different.

and honestly, unless you've got some nice porting on your o2 or have an external wastegate a 3" dp can cause some crappy boost creep.

the 2.5-3" is more than sufficent for most people.

but yeah, be wary about the evo dp because it will not mate to a 1st or 2nd gen o2.

wait, is it 3 inches after the flex pipe, it looks like on their website that that is thier 2.5 inch downpipe, (and i dont care about boost creep, ill deal with that once i get it, trust me, im going to want the biggest pipe i can get, in fact, i think ill just buy the evo o2 with it...although i dont want to have to....

2 1/2" Stock-O2 Down-pipe fits a 1g or 2g factory O2 housing and is 2 1/2" diameter till after the flex pipe. - EDP-1gA (stk O2) - $179
2 3/4" EVO3-O2 Down-pipe fits an EVO3 O2 housing and is 2 3/4" diameter till before the 3" flex section. - EDP-1gB (EVO3-O2)- $209

top one says til after, bottom says til before. I took that to mean, even after the flex section, its still 2.5 inches

either way i think im going to get an evo o2 and downpipe because in the long run, the 2.75 is bigger than the 2.5... and i dont want to have to replace this exhaust any time soon.

got impacient and just bought the 2.5 stock style downpipe with a billet cat back with a billet second muffler. if I outflow it ill just buy a buschur and sell this one, since the buschur is a full 3 inch downpipe anyways. (over the 2.75 to 3 inch downpipe made by dejon for the evo 3) by the time I outflow it, ill have enough money invested into this car that the 800 for a testpipe, catback, and downpipe, minus whatever i can sell the buschur for should seem like nothing. alhtough i would probably just end up getting a custom 3.5 inch pipe if I did outflow this exhaust system. doubt that I will.

DO YOU THINK ILL GET PULLED OVER FOR BEING TOO LOUD?

edit: and when i do get it ill take pics the day its installed, but since i dont have a credit card linked to my paypal account and it takes 7 days for the money to be cleared, i probably wont beat him to the pics...

sorry it's taking so long with pics everyone. i had class all week, and here in mich. it gets dark at like 6pm.

and i would have friday, but it snowed/sleeted/rained all day.

ill see if it's ok out tomorrow, if not, ill just take the cam out under a jacket and snap a few, and maybe get some of the dp too.

I talked to dave at dejon and he said he will have my exhaust system ready the second my paypal transfer is verified. again, i dont have a credit card, so that takes seven days. on the 18th it will be verified, dave will have it ready to ship and sent it to me as soon as he can, then once i get it i will install it the first weekend i have it, hopefully. took my talon for a drive today (first time since late august) and everything seems ok. it started raining though, and is supposed to rain all weekend, so no driving/tuning for now. dont have the logs to do anything to the maft yet. the turbo is 100 times louder with a straight through intake pipe, open airfilter, and the maf moved on the uicp. (I love turbochargers, someone in my english class gave a speach on his 65 mustang and how hes getting a 349 for it, and he said he gets low 13s with his current 289, the whole time i was just thinking, my 121 can keep up with that no problem....)

anyways, long story short, pics sometime around the end of the month/early next month. my car's year aniversery is on the 17th of next month, i dunno if i shouldnt drive it just to avoid an ironic, tragic end to all this fun, or if i should....)

has anyone looked at the megan racing exhausts I just got a catback to prototype for the 2g. its all computer tig welded and mandrel bend. fully polished 304 stainless steel. It includes two adapter sections for bolting up to the cat/test pipe. One piece for your stock cat and then a piece if you are going with the 3in test/cat. muffler style is like the Apexi N1 and even includes a silencer to keep the dB down if you want. price i believe is 360$ give or take a few bucks

I'm just waiting for it to be released so I can throw it on the car. I know their previous downpipe fit shitty, but this one is suppose to be perfect.

one thing i do apologize for is how dirty the car is, everything is all muddy. we had huge snow up here for a while, and now it's been rainy and mucky. so sorry for everything looking gross.

wow, that muffler looks kinda panzy cuz its soo small....wait a minute, i just bought this exhaust... OH NO....

maybe if you raised the muffler closer to the body of the car it would look better. not that i care about looks over performance. again, do you think the noise will cause the police to chase me, or is it not that loud at lower rpms? care to give us a wma or mp3 to listen to?

i don't really have a way to record how it sounds, but it does elim. the cat.

so if your in CA and have to worry about emissions it's not going to be pleasant.

about the muffler though, im not too pleased with it either. BUT, it does sounds really nice. it's not blow eardrums loud. but it's pretty loud at wot. so if you just drive like a normal person when cops are around you should be fine.

i will probably end up swapping out the muffler for a dual outlet one from magnaflow. and i honestly don't think the hangers could be raised much to pull up the muffler up, the way it goes under the axel it pretty much has to stay where it is.

also, it's not a pansy muffler it's really just a 3" pipe with some light sound dampening around it. even less dampening than the n1 from what i can tell.

actually, a 20 dollar bill tends to fix that problem, works out to less than a dollar a month for not having a cat.

forgot to also mention that i know two mechanics at gas stations as well, so i wont have any problems getting them to pass me

It's pretty much a straight 3" pipe, not big on pretty but big on power. If you want pretty, you're not going to get it for the price of Dave's catback. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to weld on one of those $250 apexi n1 universal mufflers for ya if you ask him too.

yeah, pretty isn't a concern really for me. just something that was going to get me nice power out of my 14b and sound nice. and this does just that.

i am a little concerned though about the welds on the tip looking like they may be rusting already, but if i go for the dual tip magnaflow it won't be a big deal.
