I have a fully stock set up right now. I got the cash to do pretty good upgrades but I mean i dont want to go off and go crazy to buy a $1,000 turbo or anything. I know that the T25 is a piece of crap. What is another option of a good turbo that is pretty cheap?

id say go with the good old small, or big 16g. i had one on my car, and i had a blast with that turbo. i was beating some of the stock v8's with my car. that felt great with such a small turbo. i would recamend if you do go with any of the 16g's, make sure you get a 38mm wastegate flapper installed on it. 16g's are know to boost creap a lil, and some times alot. my boost was solid, all the way to red line. its a great street turbo. 18 g's, and 20g's make good power, but they are rather laggy. also, depending on your cash flow, you might want to consider a 50 trim. a great pump gass turbo, and people are getting some really good time slips with them. but if you go with one of those, you really would want to get a bigger intercooler, and you would forsure need some sort of fuel management. (afc would work just fine) but thats my thought on it, and it all depends on your money, and how much you wanna get into your car. good luck man, i hope i could help. dsm love yall

i would say get a UICP and BOV first, then you can get a 14b for cheap and work with that till you get your fuel upgraded! injectors Pump AFPR and SAFC
just to be save. when you have the fuel and BOV you can into getting a 16G. my choice! you could also rebuild your t25 and put some t28 wheels in it, so you'll have a t28, which is a little more fun alreddy!!! and also you would not need to get anything to install it (unlike the 14b's and 16g's, since they need an install kit), since it was in your car before :D :)

just my 2 cents

My 18g isn't even anywhere close to laggy, if anything the spoolup is too quick. I start getting boost at 2800rpm in 2nd gear. EvoIII 16g would be something you are looking for. Good for over 300hp to the wheels when you have the supporting mods and flows similar to an 18g. Plus you can get them for $550 all day long.

I say keep your eye out on ebay. I picked up a brand new evo 3 big 16 last week for $399. Its the real one too,not the china knockoff.

i have a forced performance big 16g ported also a ported 2g o2 housing to match and a greddy upper intercooler pipe, cost me $700 for turbo ,100 for o2,and 120 for uip, just bought a gt35r setup,so,i sell it for $500 shipped fedex express, anyone interested let me know [email protected]
