Decided on the outcome of the car

i have contantly been told to just sell my n/t and buy a gst or gsx. however! i have decided that i truly want to learn about turboing a car. so i have decided to "build" my turbo setup instead of "buying" one premade. i understand i will not be as quick as your gst and gsx guys but we all know i can still destroy on the streets against little v-tech honda people that pull up next to me. even my tubro 420 can destroy theirs unless they went all out already haha but what i saying is my boosted n/t will still be able to compete. right? haha of course its right. so i am going to boost my n/t and then possible still buy another gsx in future. ### i also want to rally the gsx you feel me? so yeah. woo turbo n/t project here i come

Haha, I traded a 92 celica for my DSM, and mine was spray painted when I got it xD I'd keep the 420a. It's amazing turning a POS into something nice.

you know it too. haha vtec still cant always keep up with a turbo 420. they almost the same if i not a little bit better haha especaially after rebuild the internals. then i be kicking it up a bit

It would make a good project. It would be an even bigger project to make it reliable after that though. I say go for it. I was contemplating doing this to my old ESi, But i decided it would cost the same, if not be cheaper to just sell the ESi and buy a TSi. And it was, granted I got one with no engine, but half the miles. Oh well tho, I have a good winter project now tho. Good luck with it though man, I hope it goes well.

dsm96rs if you going to turbo that N/A its better to make your own turbo kit, well thats what i did and all i need is a wide band and a down pipe and i'm ready to kick some V-Tech a@&, good luck on your build.

ive seen lots of 420a turbo engines....there pretty quick...jz go to howellautomotive.com they have fast stuff for the 420a motors...my friends buys stuff from there all the time for his neon... i say go for it...

i dont know why everyone is bagging on the 420a? It is more work to make reliable but there are plenty of people who have made decent power with the 420a platform. I had a 420a-t before my gsx and the only reason i sold it was because i wanted awd. dont listen to the haters, you can make good power with the 420a and you'll have something most people wont see anywhere else with the turbo'd 420a

bnasty love it haha dude I know a vtec that will make a 420a look like a neon and not an srt. Lol just swap a 4g63T 6bolt in it and start from there. Why tune a 420a when a 4g63t will swap right in??????

Years ago I new a guy who had an old american motors car maybe a javalin or gremlin(so long ago I don't remember) we all though the car was a POS until he started running low 10's high 9's. Well the laugh was on us. Goes to show you with enough time and money anything can fly.Good luck to you hope it works
