dead engine?

car turns on and idles super rough it has black smoke out of the tail pipe and sounds like a air leeak near the injectors. when you try and drive it it just won't move at all nothing. my tt also shoots upo in time as soon as i turn the car on. any ideas?

Well, if you hear an air leak (assuming it's that) you're going to be running rich (black smoke is an indicator).

As the guy above said, you need to check the integrity of your intake system in it's entirety.

ok but why won't it drive i mean i put the pedal to the floor and nothing and the idle is super low and rough. why would it do that all of a sudden it ran fine yesterday when i brought it in for new tires now today it's not running.

You need to perform a boost leak test. A coupler could have came loose/ or similar.

but it's not acting like a boost leak a boost leak only messes with the engine when it's in boost it idles fine with a boost leak

No, that's completely wrong. If you have a big vacuum leak, OR A BOOST LEAK, your car will not idle correctly, and run pig rich. AKA the black smoke you see.

What do you mean the car won't move at all? Is it because there's rough idle/ no power or is it something else?

Depending on the amount of black smoke that you have coming from the rear of the car, you can tell how rich your car is running. If the air is a thick black then you aren't getting enough air into the cylinders. If you can't get air into the cylinders you don't have detonation. The mix has to be right to produce power.

Also when you mash the gas pedal does the car sit still or does the motor bog down?

Could it be a bad MAF?
