Deactivate coolant overflow sensor?

My coolant overflow bottle keeps shifting around and setting off the sensor on my dash light so i was wondering if there is any way of turning this sensor off it is quite annoying?

You can just unplug it. Then it won't turn on anymore.

When I unplugged mine, the light stayed on, is the level low?
I put a new radiator cap on it, it stayed off after that. but i also had overheating issues

Its not the radiator its the coolant overflow bottle sensor that lets you know the coolant level is low. I believe if i just unplug it the light on the dash will just stay on thats the opposite of what I want to achieve

It shouldn't. I've had mine unplugged for years. I'll check the schematic when I get home to see if there's something I'm missing.

I was wondering that as I read through the replies. You took the words right off of my keyboard . Bolts are cheap. Fix it the right way.

I agree. Fix it the right way. But if that doesn't work and your dead set on not having that light on... just take the light bulb out of the dash. That's what I ended up doing to my rear window washer fluid low level light.
