Dash swapping?

Does anyone know if it is possible to put a 2G dash and center console into a 1G car? I just thought about that the other day, and thought it might look pretty clean. Now I just need to know if anyone has tried it before?? Feedback is openly and gladly welcomed...please!!

I don't know of it being done, although someone else asked last summer. There are significant size differences, and I don't know how hard they would be to overcome.
One problem is that the 2G uses an electric speedometer and the 1G is cable-driven. Another is that so many of the switches are swapped around from side-to-side, so you'd have more than a little splicing and moving to do. And the details would go on from there.....

if u really want, make a replica out of fiberglass over your dash so the mounting points for screws fit
