So i swapped a black dash in my 96 gst automatic from a 98 gs automatic. Everything plugged in fine, everything works except my stock boost gauge which i expected. I didnt touch anything to do with the tcu. I have a homemade shift box in my car but i switched it back to the tcu controlling the shifts by simply plugging the tcu back in. It drive fine to and from the junkyard which is about a 100 mile round trip. As soon as i got home i cleaned the new to me dash and installed it. The thing is, if i try to even shift with the shift box it still wont shift. This happened to my wife 2 days ago and i fixed it, there was a loose connection at the tcu. I tried that again, and the plugs werent loose. I dont know of the dash has anything to do with it maybe the two plugs in the center of the dash that plug in beneath the radio have different wiring or what but i dont know what else it could be. Any help appriciated.

Funny, I just swaped a black dash from a 95 gsx, to my 95 gst, the wiring was different but it plugs everything very well, everything works good (they were both manual), but when I try to turn ON my lights, all inside lights didn't turn ON, like if the fuse was blown, long story short, I swap back just the harness of the dash and everything worked again.

You should swap back the wiring harness, and even worst, your dash came from a non turbo car.

I think I am going to tell you the same thing miguelmcv did. Swap the wiring harnesses!

Before I assume you didn't, did you change the harnesses between the two? The way you put it in your post suggests you did not. This may or may not be a big deal when it comes to your situation. I myself would for sure pull the dash back out just to see if I could find the problem whether or not the the wiring harness makes a difference. Any of us whom has had to mess with anything under these dashes knows having it out of the car/way can only make things that much more simple.

I hope this helps you a little.
