Dash lights

So I know this is a dumb idea. However I wanted to run it past everybody. I want to change my dash light bulbs for the instruments. I was looking at red or green leds. I was not sure if they will fit. Since they say they are for the turn signals and other signals. Any idea if these will work for the instruments. I hate these plain white lights.Any advice or insight on this would be nice.

Can you post a link to what lights you are looking at buying?

The back of instrument cluster faces is orange so just changing the bulbs wont change it to the color of the bulb. You have to sand off the back of them.

If you go with red then chances are you won't even have to do the sanding. You might have some orange-ish tint to the red, but most likely it won't be noticeable.
