I have a 92 Eclipse and the other day my dash lights, cigarette lighter, and tail lights stopped working. the fuse in the car was still good but the one under the hood was blown(10 amp). I replaced it and now randomly it blows again. I put a 20 amp fuse in it and it blew that too. Any ideas would be appreciated.

:dsm: hey Chris, never put an higher amperage fuse than what is normally called for. Bad stuff could happen. It sounds like you may have a short somewhere. I'm guessing either two wires are crossed somewhere that shouldn't be, or a hot wire is reaching ground somehow. I would trace all the wires to make sure everything is primo. It's a $hitty task, but that may be the only way to fix your problem. Keep us posted on what it may be. happy hunting. :dsm:

thanks for the help guys. I decided after I posted to look around the radio(just put in a new one) cuz I have heard of people having probs. there and found a wire was grounding itself. Taped it and all better. The only reason I put in a bigger fuse is to see what would happen and If I blew something then I figured I new where the short was. LOL.
Thanks,
Chris
