Hey guys I am trying to install a new dash kit I bought but the adhesive that is on the kit kinda sucks. Pieces are starting to feel off and I installed it last night. What would you recommend for making these things stick? I thought about just using super glue but I figure I would ask on the forums first as I dont have much experience on interior work.

im not EXACTLY sure what ur talkin about but i think ur talking about the vinyl kits. before you apply it, u need to make sure you wipe the area with rubbing alchol to clean it n then stick it on.

after applying it, try to take a blow dryer and heat the area. from wat i remember, the adhesive needs to time fully stick and heating it makes the process faster. i installed mine, n its perfect :thumb: those things were a b**** to put on tho.

so you think i should reheat the pieces again? what i did before was clean the area with alcohol, used a heat gun on the back of the piece and peeled away the paper over the adhesive then applied it to the area.. did the same with every piece. Some pieces stuck real well while others are falling off... I notice that the larger pieces are the ones not sticking well.

im not sure about using the heat gun while the vinyl was still attached to the paper cause i never did that, maybe u shouldnt have? but i guess you could reattach the vinyl and heat it like that. if the big pieces are the ones that are falling off, try cutting them into individual pieces. by the way just outta curiosity, did u buy these on ebay?

yeah I did.. company called Daytona Dash. the instructions said to heat it first.. i dunno.. like i said im new to this interior stuff

do you have any pics of your interior? ill post mine up tonight.. mine is different.. its not flat like that.. its like 1/4 inch thick bubble kinda stuff.. LOL. It looks pretty cool. I can post pics in like 2 hours.
