The reason a person with a 1G can be forgiven for suggesting AGXs is that, for a long time, that was pretty much all that was available. There are lots of options for 2Gs, so suggesting AGXs for a 2G DD is not as easily forgiven.

He was asking what's a good dd suspension for a 2g under $800 that's why I suggested the pro kit and agx because that's what I have on my spyder. By the way it's not the only suspension set up I have. I have the the gc and koni combo in my gsx and I can say that through personal experience, the pro kit and agx combo is more comfortable if you're talking about dd'ing the car.

Wow this thread took off. Honestly after researching on my own and listening to you guys I'm gonna buy the Koni yellows and Eibach Pro. Honestly I do not feel that coilovers in general are that great(for the street). Racing would mean something like a Moton system or anything with external reservoirs.

I had the Agx's before and did not like them. Tokico blues actually felt better and they seemed more like something from a parts store. I havent had Koni's since 96 accord daily.

Consider H&R before you spend money on Eibach.

I found the opposite to be true. The AGX was far more harsh than the Koni on my 1g. There's no shock other than Koni that I'd recommend for any daily driven setup for 1g or 2g, no matter how low the budget. If your budget is higher than say, $2500, then you can consider something other than Koni (like Muellerized JIC, Hotbits, KW V3, Ohlins, Motons, Penske). But if you're looking for something on a budget, you absolutely should start with Konis. If the budget is low, get lowering springs to go with the Konis. If your budget allows for Ground Controls (1g) or the DG coilover kit (2g), do that.

For an $800 budget for a 2g, I'd do Konis and lowering springs... split hairs with the brand of lowering springs all you want, just don't go with anything that lowers the car more than 1.5" if you want decent handling that won't ride on the bump stops and kill the shocks prematurely. You'll still have some wheel gap, but you sacrifice the appearance a little for better handling on these cars.
