I had a slit in my plug wire causing the spark from cylinder 4 to click on my intake manifold. I drove to the parts store to get my warranty on my wires. I got there and took my wires off i put the new ones on. Now I get no spark outa the coil pack for cylinders 1 and 4. Not throwing any codes. Doesnt randomly spark just doesnt do anything. Starts up and runs on 2 cylinders tho. tia

I have tried swapping out coil packs and it didn't work. Interesting though is when I just pulled out all 4 coil packs and replaced all 4 of them with new ones it worked great again. So try swapping out the 2 you know are bad and if that doesn't work swap all 4.

there are only 2 packs... 1/4 wires... 2/3 wires...
At least that is how it is on my 90....

Anyway, by running the car witht he slit wire you probly shorted out 1/4 coil pack. And I got a new one for 85? or so new from an auto parts store.
