2G Cyl 4 miss/p1400 code

Hello. This morning I started my 95 tsi awd and had to use wot to get it to start, there was obviously a dead cylinder. It was a cold morning (45° f) but it kept missing even once it was up to temp (ran for 15 minutes) I took a nice nap and started it again and there is no misfire at 65° ambient. I pulled the codes and got a number 4 cyl misfire and a p1400 for the mdp sensor. Could a faulty sensor cause it to misfire, or could it be an injector problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Could possibly be the plug, wire or coil pack. You can use a volt meter to test the corresponding coil, and the plug and wire wouldn't be too hard to check either. If you have a wideband, I'd assume if it is running a little more rich that the injector wouldn't be a problem and would point more towards the electrical side of things. As for the mdp sensor, I'm pretty sure you can meter that to see if it's going bad as well without throwing parts at it blindly.

Still somewhat new to dsm, so if I'm off feel free to correct me.

Thanks for your input. No wideband and it's the one coil for all cylinders. No cracks or anything. I just changed the plugs and wires a couple weeks ago. I changed the number 4 plug again and haven't had the problem show up yet. Hopefully the car was just moody. Haha. Thanks again.

Did the plug show any signs of damage? Mayne it was.just.gapped wrong or a bad plug

Yeah, I know its one coil pack. I meant to say you can meter that specific part of the pack. But good to hear your problem has disappeared.

I replaced the plugs with new copper ones. Gapped them to .028. Must have been a bad plug. Still hasn't happened again.
