cyclone engine swap

i have a 92 talon tsi that the engine blew up on. i recently purchased a jdm enging to swap out, it is the cyclone engine. ive been reading a lot of posts on here about swapping my old intake onto it to relieve some issues i might have with the ecm. i was just wondering if this is true, and if there are any other things i should know before i start doing the swap. they are both 6 bolt motors and both had manual trans. any help would be much appreciated!

Other than the fact they are the SAME motor, it'll drop right in. There is no true JDM with the DSM as they are actually domestics. All the DSM's overseas are imports there. The only thing you got out of that motor would be 100cc larger injectos (depending on vehicle), the cyclone intake manifold which needs parts to work properly on our car as it's ran off of the EDM ECU and the turbo will be different depending on what vehicle it came off of. Overall, it's not worth it to get a "JDM" motor as the parts you got that are an "improvement" aren't too great for the price difference of getting the block at a junk yard. Not to mention you really don't know the miles or condition of the block/head/turbo etc.

so should i swap the intake off my old engine so i dont have to mess with the cyclone intake problem?
