Anyone know where I can buy a NEW 4G63 Cyclone Motor for a 2G Eclipse?
I am taking out a loan and I want to know where I can find one?

Ugh. There's no such thing as a "cyclone motor". The cyclone refers to the intake manifold on the JDM motors from Japan. You won't find one new, anywhere. Your best bet is to rebuild your current motor and buy a cyclone manifold for it. Why are you replacing the motor in the first place?

If you are wanting to throw down good money for a motor, look at SBR for built motors. Or RRE.

going from 1997 mitcubishi gst to a 1g galant vr4 cyclone engine

My question is, anyone who has ever done one of these did you have a problem with the starter not making contact with the flywheel?

the engine i got was supposed to of came out of a galant vr4 which is a awd vehicle, im wondering if maybe thats why my starter is making a clacking noise and is not fully engaging the flywheel, does anyone if this is so? can i just go to a local auto parts store and grab a starter for a vr4? will that work?

If the 4G63 you have purchased was from an AWD platform then the flywheel will be smaller than the FWD. This would explain the symptoms you are describing. Sorry to say but it looks like you are going to have to change the flywheel.

As stated above there is no such thing as a "cyclone engine" only a cyclone intake manifold. Check your starter and see if it's seated correctly. If it's seated correctly you'll either have to change the flywheel or the starter. (not sure which)
