Well thanks to GSGoingfast's write up, I'm reviving my project...I'm piecing together everything, but have a FEW questions.

I have a friends hooking me up with his T-25 (for 40 bucks) off of his Talon tsi, which i know is a TINY turbo, but the reason I'ma go ahead with it is because he's also got a brand new small 16g sitting waiting for me, but i dont have the 300 dollars to pick it up right away, and i wanna get boosting...the 16g will swap right on though, with the exception of an intercooler pipe begin moved...anyways..

Im gonna do ur basic set up with a Vortech 12:1 FMU, 1st gen BOV, 255 walbro, front mount..but on a T-25, which i dont see done too much..

I know everyone talks about not going over like 8 lbs or so, to be safe..are these numbers about the same on the T-25 with it being smaller? or can i go a little higher or what?

Thanks :D

haha glad i could help :thumb:

the T-25 will be fine for you, yes the turbo guys complain that it dies off close to redline, but there also running 12-14 psi on it and you will only be running 8 or so.

as for running more boost because its smaller, quite the opposite of what you think. because it is smaller, it is going to heat the air up more when it compresses it, and hotter intake charge is bad. what psi you can run wont really depend on the turbo too much. just stick to the 7-8 psi guidline

It can, the 16g is one of the most common upgrades for the turbo DSM's better than the 14b, which does spool up pretty fast BTW. Its still a Garret T3 flange on the turbo so any T3 manifold will work with both the 14b and both 16g's
