Custom Interior questions need help ASAP

So I've looked around but can't seem to find the answer to my question. I'm starting a project on my car that involves taking everything out and painting it. I'm starting with the trunk and I already seem to have problems.

1. The think carpet type stuff is attached to those 4 or 5 round plastic pins that are secured in right behind the back seat. Well I tried pulling one out but i dont think thats how they come out. Or am i being retarted?

2. the center back panel is attached somehow but i dont know how. Please inform me before i turn this car into a pile of junk.

ok... well to answer your first question, your doing it correctly
just yank out the little black screw thingys and to answer your second question... make sure you have taken out all screws, and then pull really hard... i pulled really really hard and cracked mine.. hahah but it eventually came off. Theres little white clips that are sons of bitches to get off...
