it's not hard to do at all, the only trick is the speedo. if you have a mechanical speedo it's really easy. just go down to your local speedo shop with the old cable and they will make you a new one with the stock end on the end that goes to the tranny, and a "universal" one on the other. most cars use the 1:1 ratio needed to drive any aftermarket speedo. for a electronic speedo, good luck getting a sender that will fit, unless mitsubishi was smart (most companies aren't) and uses a "standard" pulse.

as for the rest of the guages if you get autometer electronic guages they send every adapter needed to make every last one of the guages work in our cars.

Thanks!!!:thumb: I`m picking up the gauge bezel that i designed from the metal cutters
Thursday. Then after some trial fitting It will go to get powdercoated.

I picked the inserts Thursday from the metel cutters. Here`s a mockup of what it should look like. I`m taking the insert in to the powdercoaters next week to be painted the same color as my lighter grey thats in the car . The LED lights I got though www.oznium.com . Prewired for 12 volts:dsm:

I am doing all aftermarket gauges in my car because, well, I am too lazy to find the broken wires in my 15 year old car. So I am just putting in an aftermarket gauge when the stock one breaks. Now all I have left is the speedo and I am not sure if it will ever break.

Yeah Ive been thinking about doing something like that with my car, but I would be getting autometer gauges and do a custom fiberglass encloser for the speedo, tach, fuel level, and pressure where the guage cluster was, then a dual a pillar, and a trip vent bezel, and a custom fiberglass encloser for another gauge in the air vent just to the left of the sheering wheel. Im pretty good with fiberglassing and bondoing so it should be a decent price:D, just mad expensive autometer gauges haha. The steel looks pretty nice man, I bet it'll look real nice all hooked up, post some pics when its in.

My buddies did custom gauges for his truck and my other buddy his integra. One used a cool orange colour with a neat design on it which matched his truck, and i suggested to my other buddy to do something unique and i told him to use roman numerals for the speedo and tach. It was pretty cool at first but its funny to figure out how fast you were going after a while when driving. The only problem we had was to figure out a good way to light it up at night. After a while they got sick of it and went back to normal though.

I was thinking of powdercoating it. I guess if it don`t look good I can redo it .
I have the CAD file I can always have more made.:thumb: :dsm:
