Curious ? 6bolt?

Ok so this is my ? i have a 97awd and it started knocking real bad the other day so can i take the bottom end outa a 6bolt like crank pistons bearings everything and put it in my 7bolt bottom end will everything match up correctly.

AND YES I HAVE SEARCHED THE FORUMS

NO you cant, the fast way is swap straight to 6 bolts and keep the 2 g head check RRE they have a cool advise and techniques

Just get another 7 bolt to save you the hassle of swaping over to 6 bolt. Unless you really know what your doing around these cars.

nope cant mix and match a 6 and 7 bolt. Just get a 7bolt like stated above or just swap in an entire new 6bolt engine and sell the current 7bolt.

What are you talking about... I hear of people using 7 bolt heads on 6 bolt blocks (and the other way around) all the time.

But it doesnt sound like lowridingdsm would be down for that, so just swap in another 7 bolt.

You are correct, it is totally possible and mostly personal prefrence if someone wants to use a 6 or 7 bolt head.
