I have a EVO3 turbo, Walboro 255hp fuel pump, Greddy BIG FMIC, Greddy 660cc Fuel injectors, dsm link. (none of it's installed yet, still sitting in my shop until I can sacrafice a weekend or two to install everything.

I have heard a lot about the EVO3 turbo giving a lot of boost creep and the only way to fix this is by getting a external wastegate.

Is that true? And if so what wastegate would go good with the EVO 3 turbo?

Please clue me in.

ditto, im on a smic so I'm not sure while ur complaining. Just port the 02 ,wastegate the best u can then just let it rip...I think I'm running like 23 psi on my smic..boost gauge only goes up to 20...lucky me it's winter.

I was having boost creep issues on a small 16g and a 2.5" tubular o2 housing has eliminated the problem. I bought it from punishment racing for $115 or so and after 2 hours with a dremel, it was smooth enough to actually install. I recommend trying it.

Should I do the 34mm flapper mod? I haven't touched the wastegate yet, not sure if I should leave it or mod it to 34mm.

A heavily ported o2 housing combined with the 34mm flapper mod keeps me down to about 15-16 psi on my evo III with a 2.5"-3" downpipe. We put a custom made external dump style 02 housing on a friends evo III with the stock flapper and that helped a lot more.

I dont think the 34mm flapper is needed. If anything port the WG hole to fit better with the stock flapper. The main problem most of the time is the o2 housing. Get it ported or buy tubular, etc.
