Crushed 1G BOV, sounds WEIRD.

So tonight I crushed my 1G bov hoping it would fix my leak, but alas it is just bad and still leaks. I noticed now though that instead of the normal psshhhhh sound I have more of a short quick swhoooooop. Honest to god it sounds like compressor surge from the BOV not opening, but when I was doing a boost leak test it very clearly was opening at like 5 psi even. Anybody notice a difference after doing it? On a side note, I left the port that was drilled into the BOV open to the atmosphere and the lower port is still hooked to the manifold.

I have never done this mod, but it was to my understanding that you wanted manifold vac/pressure to the top and the bottem ports.
