cruise control doesn't work

98 GSX a/t.... used it 2 weeks ago tried it today and dosnt work wtf. fuse or somen???

Mine broke, also... Well it's not working right.

I hit the cruise control lever and the green "Cruise" comes on but when I let off the gas the light will turn off and act as if nothing had happened.

my green light won't even come on anymore, anyone else know whats the problem

look at your guages at night when your car is on with the lights off... then while the lights are off push the brake in..if your gauges light up..that is the problem. check that and post back.

The 2G's are getting old enough that some of the 1G CC problems might be starting to crop up.
Check the vacuum line to the actuator and make sure it's not torn or fallen off.
Check the clutch and brake switches to make sure the rubber stoppers don't have a hole work in them and that the switches close.
Check the diag procedures in the service manual for troubleshooting.

Check the clutch and brake switches to make sure the rubber stoppers don't have a hole work in them and that the switches close.

Yea, i definatly agree. Same thing happend to my 91. Check all the vacuum lines, some will crack, and dry up, or just fallen off. I would say 95% that is your problem

It weighs to much, . Im taking mine out when i get my 1g in the next few days. And losing the ac, and power steering, and bla bla bla

right on. Who cares it the CC works or not, if it works more power to ya, if it doesn't I know i won't be wasting my time and money on fixing it.

I had CC on every single car i drove and haven't use it once. Shit i don't even know if my CC works, but I won't be ripping it outor testing it anytime soon..

yea man dont get rid of powersteering for street use. mine kills alot due to a bad isc and i only had one hand on the wheel and the car died so no powersteering right before i took a corner and i ended up waaay in the opposite lane, had there been a car there i would have hit before i hit the brakes. :thumbdown

about the cruise- check the damn cables! mine popped out at night and idled at like 5.5k! and check the fuses/relays and the cc motor. sometimes they just stop.... u know like iscs .
