I was at a light took off like normal, then went from 1/2 throttle to full around 4k rpms. everything was fine, then it hit 6500 or 7500, I don't really know due to the rpm gauge flopping around to ~10k rpm area of the gauge. The engine was dead immediately after I hit the clutch. There was no smoke, no noise, nothing out of the norm. Once we pulled it over, popped the hood, everything looks fine( not much light but nothing sticking up saying 'oh hi I'm un-plugged') also the timing is still fine at the camshafts and the belt is tight. When I try and start it cranks fine just like normal, but will not run. Also, the rpm gauge jumps to 1.5k and 3k. Where should I start looking for the issue?

It can happen just like that? Running fine then dead?

Looked at the ecu, its not the issue. Anyone else?
