well i timed my motor 2 nights ago,(with it out of the car) evrything lined up perfectely. i gave it 6 full rotations(with ease)...everything still lined up perfectly. anyway i mounted my tranny onto the motor and installed the front clip(both driveshafts are still out)
i atempted to turn my crank again just to make sure(by hand) and to my astonishment it wont turn. it will tun about 1 inch in both directions of the crankshft timming arrow, then it will stop.almost like it was hitting a valve or somthing. i took off the timing cover and inspected my marks, everything still lined up perfectly. why isnt it turning. is it because the tranny is not leeting turn, or is there just somthing that im not seeing, thanks again.

Sounds like you don't have the input shaft in the clutch correctly.

Is the bellhousing flush against the block? Is the clutch disc installed the right way? Did you use an alignment tool to install it? If you don't get the shaft in just right it can bind up and not allow anything to turn.

the bellhousing is flush with the block, i did use and aligment tool for the clutch install, im pertty sure the shaft is in correctly, i know this because as i turn the crankshaft 1 inch in either way of the crank arrow, i can see the spindel hosing turn as well(my driveshafts are still out) so im perrty sure that the trann is mounted correctly.
