Well.. I suspect that my crank pulley is deciding to leave me. Aside from the horrible noise comming from that area of the motor. I've noticed that the left side of the timing belt is starting to get chewed up.. and one of my acc' belts is starting to rub into the timing belt cover. Haven't had a chance to pull off the pulley yet.. will prolly tomorrow.. anyone else have any input?

I just replace mine at 130,000 miles.I checked timing on the car and the balancer mark was nowhere close when the cam gears where lined up.Also was getting a weird grinding squealing noise from that part of the engine. When I took it off my lower timing cover did have some evidence of rubbing .The pulley was big time separated. Now got new one in and things are great ,timing is actually set properly.Anyone with higher mileage not sure how much but likley anything over 100,000 miles should change out this pulley or test it by looking at the timing marks at tdc.

Better fix it soon. When my pulley "left me" it took the A/C belt with it and stuffed it inside the timing belt cover. Timing belt jumped 5 teeth and trashed the engine.

Where is the cheapest place I can find a Crankshaft Pulley?
Mines seperating and wobbling.

Bought a new stock crank pulley today at Mitsu for $105. Not as much as I thought it was going to be.

Well mine broke 2 days ago and I just got it fixed through the dealer for $500.00. Basically I had to replace the crank pulley and the accessory belts (power, ac, and I think water pump). The tech said I was lucky since I wasn't driving the car when it broke. I was at work and when I started the car all hell broke loose. I also had my tie rod end and right side engine mount replaced. The total cost was $1200.00 but the guy at the dealer gave me a discount so I only paid $950.00 for everything including tax.

ouch... I just went ahead and swapped mine out as a preventative measure for an underdrive pulley and Goodyear gatorback belts...

NOw justy waiting on the 6 bolt to FINALLY get shipped from *VENDOR NAME HIDDEN* after almost 2 months so I can switch my bad 7 bolt out

I could've done the job myself but I had no choice since it broke down after work. I actually had to get it towed to the dealer, good thing my insurance covered the towing part. :D
