Crank gear removal .

Is this the method I use . http://www.vfaq.com/mods/cranktool.html . I have seen threads about gear pullers and about nut on center . Is it pressed on or is the center nut hold it on . Any pics of it off and on . Need to get frontcase off to take to machine shop .

If its the one where you can install a 1/2" drive ratchet then it does come off. After I removed that bolt the gears behind it just came off.

You seem to be lucky I guess . Mine is stuck . Almost seems like it is welded on . Kind of like that damn rotor problem we sometimes have .

Ok I go about 250 , laying on breaker bar . Not moving at all . Put on cheater bar and bam , got it off .

Cheater pipe is your best friend.....the longer it is, the easier the job.
