Yup so i took it apart because it was leaking fluid from the bell housing. Which was the seal between the torque converter and tranny. But while i was taking it out it cracked on top. I looked around for a tranny and tehre 700 and up. I just want to drive this car again. I figured i could weld it. The crack is on top and its about 4 inch long but its not down the side. It goes down a tiny bit but nothing major. Anyone else weld there cracked bell housing instead of buying a new tranny?

Post a pic of the crack...
There is a metal pump bushing that surrounds the converter snout when the converter is in..In my car, this bushing came loose and moved forward, causing my fluid to run out..Make sure thats not your problem....
